He is kidnapped by Jack Skellington's henchmen, Lock, Shock, and Barrel, to fulfill Jack's plan of taking over Christmas. Sandy Claws is portrayed as a jolly, well-meaning figure who delivers presents to children. He is eventually rescued from Oogie Boogie by Jack and Sally.
